No extremes of temperature, no high seas adventure, no trips for the wine halfway around the world. Just locally grown grapes & wine made by local people that cared for them, the King & Queen.

They now have 40 producing acres and are growing 11 different varieties of vinifera on their estate property!

Boundary Breaks

Join Owners Bruce Murray and Diana Lyttle at one of the Finger Lakes Newest Wineries. Learn how Grapes will grow almost anywhere. Seneca’s South & West

Seneca: The largest of all the Finger Lakes by volume and depth. This makes it an ideal moderating influence for vineyards on the shores that sit largely in Conesus Loam Soils.

Hazlitt 1852

Back in 1852, David Hazlitt bought 153 acres of fruit and vineyard in Hector, NY.  Over six generations various Hazlitts farmed the land, raised families and made award winning wines from the fantastic grapes the land produces.  Hazlitt is world renown for their Red Cat series of wine and produce a full line-up of varietals.

Red Newt

With the winemaking under Red Newt’s great winemaker’s direction, connections with their growers, and focus on the individual expressions of distinct vineyard sites became their priority.  Today Red Newt oversees the production of a stable of single vineyard designated Reisling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris as well as limited quantities of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.  Enjoy a tremendous earth to table luncheon with a single glass of wine from their top shelf Rieslings.

Glenora

They’re constantly innovating and creating new products, under the direction of head winemaker Steve DiFrancesco, who has been with them for over two decades. From high quality sparkling wines, Rieslings, and a wide variety of red and white vinifera wines to innovative blends, dessert and fruit wines, there truly is a Glenora wine to please every palate.

Lakewood Vineyards

The original grapes planted were primarily Labrusca and French-American Hybrid varieties, which were favored by the large wineries and grape juice companies. In the mid-80′s the family diversified to add some new hybrid varieties and Vinifera plantings. The commercial grape production continued for 36 years, until 1988 when they the family pressed the grapes for their first vintage, today with 80 acres of grapes planted, the farm is home to Lakewood Vineyards winery.
